Redo!

Since I don't plan on using water color again, I decided to go back and redo these travel spots on the computer. I included the old ones so you can see what I changed.

Zombie, something, what?

Okay so the deal with this one was that it was a collaboration with some friends. We would each choose a random topic and just start sketching for five minutes on our own piece. Then after the five minutes was up, everybody would switch to the drawing on their right. The idea was to improve upon each sketch that you came to. In the end, everybody would be back at the piece they started on, and they would have the final say as to how the drawing was completed.
I got some pretty random stuff going on in mine after all was said and done. It ended up being pretty crowded, so I took a few things out and added some stuff. All in all it was a fun little exercise. You come out with an illustration that reflects the imaginations of all the people involved.

Okay, so this one has a long story... but to make it much shorter I'll just say that this haiku was my inspiration:

Drenched in memory.
Panic oozing along ribs.
Women akimbo.

It came a long way from the little thumbnail I started with. I like how it turned out though... Enjoy! More to come.

fear and loathing

Illustration for an online contest. The theme was drug use and intoxication. To me nothing says "drug use" quite like Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas.
