This piece was my submission for the Degenerates show at Hodge Podge here in Atlanta; a collaboration of the artists who work at Floyd County Productions on the TV show Archer. My inspiration was this song by Wave Racer right here: https://soundcloud.com/wave-racer/rock-u-tonite.
I'd love to do more pieces like this one, focusing on pausing a moment with a lot of action, and um, interdimensional faces.Friday, September 13, 2013

This is Sea Squirt
He fights maritime crime. I wanted to bust out a little more character design stuff, so I'm gonna be creating a batch of super heroes. I'll post a character sheet for him with a few more drawings tomorrow, but stick around for the other heroes! I can get some story lines going for the gang once I get the other characters nailed down, but that depends on how much interest is shown for that sort of thing.

I've been waiting all week to sketch this out
One of my best friends asked for a tattoo design recently, and I've been really itching to get something down on it. Work's been busy though, but tonight I went for it anyway. All of his tattoos already have sort of a western theme going, so he said to see what I could come up with that would fit in with the others. This was so much fun to draw, totally worth it. I think I could draw jackalopes all day and not get bored. It's still a WIP, and who knows, I might do something completely different, but I got carried away with the first idea and wanted to share.

Swanson / Grumpy Cat Mashup
Trying to crank out some artwork for Heroes Con this week. We'll see how much I can do! This one started as sketch of grumpy cat in my sketchbook, but then I decided to throw on the signature mustache and combed over hair of Ron Swanson. Ron is a pretty much a grumpy cat himself, so I feel like it wasn't too far of a leap. Hope you like it!

Face Study
I made a new self portrait for my website's about page. I'm going to be selling artwork at Heroes Con next weekend in Charlotte, so I've been trying to get everything put together. Should be a lot of fun though!

Stranded in Bespin
What!? Ewok's don't belong in Bepsin. Explain yourself! I drew this for an After Effects animation exercise in college a few years back. The assignment was just to take some drawing elements and make them move. I liked the drawing so I decided to go back and soup it up some. I'll post the animation sometime soon too. Prints are available on my Etsy shop for this little guy, and to anyone who bought one of these at the Art B Que, contact me and I'll send you an updated version of the drawing for free. Hang on to the original, though!

Atlanta Glorious Atlanta
Hey, so I've been living in Atlanta for a few years now, and lately I've been wanting to make a poster that really captures the essence of this great city. After some thought I decided on using traffic as a theme. Ask anyone, the traffic sucks. Personally, I just travel by dog powered chariot and save the hassle.
Here are some of my favorite runner up ideas for the poster:
Atlanta is for grown ups, Atlanta honks for hotties, Atlanta picks and flicks, We've got big buildings and big butts, Our racist mountain has a great light show.

A Deer for a Baby
EY! So one of my coworkers is having a baby soon and everyone at work pitched in to surprise her with some original artwork for the baby's room. The theme of the bedroom is going to be enchanted forest so I decided to make her this drawing of John Rambo with a rocket launcher. And no that was not a typo.
